Who is Zara Northover... First and foremost she is Sunbeam for Jesus or a grown up would say an Ambassador for Christ. Zara Northover is a positive, energetic, genuine being who knows the value of hard work, sacrifice, determination and achieving goals. The 2008 Olympian is a scholar, daughter, aunty, niece and friend. She is a role model and mentor for people of all ages, genders and races. Ms. Northover currently works for the Center For Multicultural Affairs at Eastern Michigan University and will be graduating with her Master's degree in Sports Management April, 2013. She has a decorated background.
Zara was born in Florida to Pearlene Campbell and the late Winston Northover. She is a dual citizen American and Jamaican who was raised in New York and then received a full scholarship for the Shot Put to Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she majored in Communication (Public Relations) and minored in Political Science. After graduating she left college and went on to pursue her dream to make the 2008 Olympic Games for Jamaica which also became a platform for her to continue spreading motivation and God's word as she started the Moving in Faith movement in 2007. When you ask Ms. Northover who she is. She explains first she is an Ambassador for Christ who loves and serves all people. Second a Mentor because she is blessed in order to bless others, third a Motivational Speaker because God has given her a gift to reach out and inspire all whom will listen with her voice and words of encouragement. She is aware that her story is His-story and she shares that "our struggles are for our success, downfalls for our rises and our tests for our testimonies. If there is one thing that Ms. Northover says that you should remember it is have "Patience in the process for longevity in the game and through it all never stop Moving in Faith."
