Welcome!
My name is Zoe Butler - I am a Student Nurse, Student Quality Ambassador, UoC Nursing Executive, WHIS Ambassador, Writer and Word Artist.
I'm a young writer from Cumbria, England - and also an aspiring nurse!
Although the two don't sound the most married of careers - they both give me oppertunity to collaborate and inspire young people, fellow healthcare practitioners, patients and carers - And both give me great joy and excitement for the future!
Coming to the end of my 3 year BSc Degree - My current work focuses on many areas.
- Engagement of healthcare students in reflective practices
-Community project work surrounding awareness of mental health provision for young people
-Member of the UHMBT Organ Donation Committee
-Working with local NHS Trusts, Universities and healthcare services to model students as leaders in healthcare
...And in my spare time I have created, written and developed scripts and plays such as Deathly Reception, Standing Grounds and Broken Records - a play based in a music store revolving around the life of a family and their progression.
Following all of this work I aim to collaborate, inspire, innovate and push for the highest standards of patient care - through the use of narrative and stories.
