There's a lot to do before you put fingers to keyboard, not least working out who your customer is, their desires, headaches and fears.

A good place to start is with your STORY. A brand story communicates who you are, what you stand for, what your values are and why you do what you do. To stand out you need to shout about what makes you unique. No-one else has the same story as you.
Your story captures the essence of your business - the people driving your brand, your values and purpose, and the all-important emotion - how do you make the customer feel? Sharing your story helps build trust, so your customers choose you.
So whether you have a loose plan, a strict brief or have no idea where to start; if you've got marketing materials in place or are starting from scratch - I love a challenge. Especially if it involves words.
My career has been varied and sometimes adventurous. It's embraced project management, marketing, startups and - what now infuses my writing - psychotherapy. I understand what makes people tick. We're all a collection of stories after all.
These days I’m happily based by the Essex coast where the fresh air and estuary views fuel me. On warm days - and if the tide is right - you can find me swimming in the sea. I love to doodle. Good coffee is also essential.
