Matteo is a free-lance journalist specialized in foreign policy and international organized crime. He's the founder and editor-in-chief of East Journal, daily online newspaper focused on Eastern Europe, and he's supervisor of Most, foreign policy's monthly e-magazine. Moreover he's contributor of Nigrizia, monthly magazine focused on african policy.

As journalist he also worked (from 2010 to 2013) for the monthly magazine Narcomafie, a publication focusing on international organised crime, human rights, and justice. He's skilled in web journalism and web-inquiries.

In addition he wrote about italian literature on international reviews, particularly studying modern poetry. Some articles are published on Italian Review of Poetry (Columbia University, NY) and other academic journals.

In Decembrer 2013 he published his first collection of poems called Il pellegrino e altre storie senza lieto fine (The pilgrim and more tales with no happy end), and in January 2014 he printed the e-book Maschere per una guerra (Mask for a war), about Congo's wars.

He was born in 1981 in a northern Italy's small village, then he studied and worked in Turin. In January 2014 he moved to Colchester, United Kingdom.
