Jeff Corwin was born on July 11th of 1967. He is a conservationist, wildlife biologist and a television show host. He helped establish the Emerald Canopy Rainforest Foundation after he visited Belize in 1984 (he was 17). He discovered his love for animals when he went to Belize, it made him realize that he wanted to save the natural beauty of the world. Jeff Corwin followed his passion for animals throughout his youth and into his adult life. He has bachelor of science degrees in Biology and Anthropology. He conducted his graduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, obtaining a master of science in wildlife and fisheries conservation and doing work on bats and snakes. In 1999, Bridgewater awarded Corwin an honorary doctorate in public education.
Jeff Corwin has been in a number of educational programs. From 1997 to 1999 Jeff Corwin hosted a show for Disney called Going Wild With Jeff Corwin. In 2000 Jeff partnered with Animal Planet and Discovery Communications serving as a host and executive producer for The Jeff Corwin Experience and Corwin’s Quest. Jeff worked with Animal Planet again in 2003 and hosted a documentary titled Giant Monsters. In 2007 Jeff hosted a show on the Travel Channel titled Into Alaska With Jeff Corwin, as well as being an environment correspondent for a special Planet In Peril for CNN. In 2009, Jeff partnered with Defenders of Wildlife to host the documentary series Feeling the Heat.
