I am Roxane Zouzou a Public Affairs student at Baruch College in New York. I am currently working on my last year for my Bachelors in Science. I hope to obtain a Masters in International Affairs and work with the United Nations in resolving pressing issues around the world.
As an advocate for women and youth empowerment, especially of African descent I have worked with multiple organizations to exercise my leadership skills. I held numerous positions on the African students association of Baruch board as well as being president for the year 2013-2014. I collaborated with multiple organizations both on campus and outside of campus to promote African culture. I managed a team of 10 persons and budgets for events throughout the year. I was a fellow of the African Women LEAD program by US-Africa Synergy where I developed entrepreneurship. Through this program I had the chance to attend multiple workshops on entrepreneurship and seminars on problem solving at the United Nations headquarters. I have even had the opportunity to spend a day with an official of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) at the UN headquarters, Ms. Gaynel.
I hope to strengthen my skills and make this world a better place one day at the time.
