It's harder than ever for women today to manage all of the societal expectations upon them. If you're looking for a flowery feminist perspective, you've come to the wrong page. Women are still expected to run their household, care for their kids and plan out their ever rigorous schedules, cook, clean, shop, and so on and so forth. In addition we are now partners to our husbands, leaders in our communities, working professionals and educated go-getters.

Our roles have expanded widely yet we still only have 24 hours in a day. So how is one to choose what roles to take? I have been told that I play both sides of the field, that I can be indecisive and hardheaded at the same, and that I am both really outgoing and a bit standoffish. And I say yes, to all of the above. I am socially liberal and fiscally conservative. I am a mother. I am a wife. I am a successful working professional with an education. I have never chosen complacency and I do not believe in only doing things one-way. I have found that I can have a successful career and still pick my kids up from school and do homework and cook fresh healthy meals.

I have never been in an office 8AM-5PM and don't intend to ever go there. I find it liberating and highly successful to work in a flexible space where output, relationships and results are what matter. In all my roles, relationship building in key.
