Why me?

Many of my past experiences and involvements have shaped me to be the right guy to represent the science faculty. I am actively involved in the campus community and would love to serve the Faculty of Science to give to us what we need. I want to take the true concerns we have in the faculty of science and put every effort to help solve them.

Yes, we need a science lounge and I will put every effort to make sure we have a location to hang out for fun and even study (have a ping pong table, air hockey, foosball table, couches, etc), but I don't want to base my whole campaign around building a science lounge. I want to do more for us. I believe that as a part of the Science Faculty we deserve better. We need something that will last with us not only thoughout university but our successful careers. At the same time, we need to have fun within our faculty. I want to bring a balance of both as your representative.

  • We need direct opportunities for research of our interest so we can increase our network, I will work with you to represent that with the SU and throughout university to create not only a database with our interests but also host events where we can meet professionals in our careers to shadow and have one-on-one conversations. I want to host seminars and events so we can have the opportunity infront of us.
  • We have expensive textbooks, I want to be able to meet with professors and contact publishers to advocate for cheaper textbooks and bring out digital copies of the textboks so that they are not only easily accesible but also discountedly cheap. We can use the $800 spent on textbooks towards a better cause for our career.
  • Although we are one of the biggest faculties on campus it still feels like we are not recognized for what we do and study. As your representative, I will encourage the distribution of awards not only to motivate us or build our resume but also to recognize our excellence within the faculty. We have talented students who are excellent in academcs, creative thinking, volunteerism, leadership, and in general hard working students who should be recognized for their efforts.

It's all about US!

If I am elected, I would like to create a Lip Dub that tours and recognizes all students in the science faculty AND represent who we are.
