Hi, I am Zach Plottel, a Broker, General Contractor and business leader. I was raised in San Jose California, attended CSU, Chico, and for 20 years from age 18 to 38 I was a Firefighter. I started as a USFS Firefighter at age 18 and loved working in the forest. Throughout college I was a firefighter and Fire Apparatus Engineer with both Butte County Fire and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire as it later came to be known). After Graduation from CSU, Chico with a BA in International Relations and a Minor in Spanish, I began working for the City of Chico Fire Dept. where I spent 14 years working in a variety of roles. I retired in 2014 from the Chico Fire Department.

During my time working with the Chico Fire Dept. starting in 2001 I built a real estate company focusing on residential and commercial rental properties. As the portfolio grew, we expanded and created a full service Property Management and Construction Company, BOBKAT Builders and it's affiliate management company BPS Properties. I have Today we provide these services to over 250 units and have built several projects from the ground up.

In 2011 I was recruited to join the legal administration team as the COO of Harris & Plottel, LLP, the oldest and highest volume Elder Law and Estate Planning firm in the North State. I have worked continuously in this role since 2011 while concurrently acting as the President of BOBKAT Builders/BPS Properties. As we complete the 35th year in business at Harris & Plottel, LLP, I am extremely proud of the value and the services our talented and committed team has provided to our clients throughout the North State. We are excited to continue providing these services and committed to remaining the leader in providing expert legal counsel and unparalleled customer service to our California clients.

In my off time I raise two boys with my amazing wife, assist with youth sports coaching, spend time outdoors and generally strive to have fun in everything we do!
