Greetings, I’m Dr Zunaidi Bin Ibrahim, CEng. MIET.
I graduated from Mie University in March 1997, and after returning to Malaysia I reported to Denso (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in 2 May 1997. I was attached to Production Engineering department or also known as Factory Automation (FA) department. My position at that time was Production Engineer. Under the FA department, there were three production lines divisions, which were Alternator Production line division, Starter Production line division and Wiper Motor Production line division. In April 2001, I received an offer to continue my Master degree and PhD study in Japan and joined back Faculty of Engineering, Mie University as a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to Professor Yoshiko Nomura for my Master Degree and PhD study. After completion of my PhD study, I joined UUM as a senior lecturer in April 2006 then I was transfer to University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) in December 2006. In January 2007, I was assigned as the Deputy Dean of Academic and Research. In December 2008, I was promoted as Deputy Rector (Academic), with the main task is to strengthen academic program in Terengganu Advanced Technical Institute (TATI) and upgrade TATI to University Technical. In January 2013, I was promoted to be a Rector and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to TATIUC and TATIUC Sdn Bhd. I also leading and managing university Subsidiaries Company named as Ruane TATI as a company CEO to conduct the technical training in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for oil and Gas industry. I was leading TATI Production which is a manufacturing company for TATI University College based on Machining and Design and Rapid Prototyping Center that’s produce and support University research activities. From 2016, I was transfer back to University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) since my contract in TATIUC was finished. I’m now attach with Technopreneur At UniMAP Sdn Bhd (TUSB) as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to generate income to UniMAP from research & development activities with Industry.
