Hi! I’m currently living in Oakland, where I work at UC Berkeley as the program coordinator for the Institute of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies. In the coming weeks will be entries on Soviet cooking. My education background is Russian and Baltic studies, specifically Estonia. I did my BA at UW-Madison and my MA at Indiana University. I have studied abroad in St. Petersburg (Russian) and Tallinn (Estonian). I have a deep passion for historic/medieval Slavic linguistics and literature, which blends well into the culinary universe of Eastern Europe.
