I used to think building like a house should provide everything, outdoor space when feeling like to facing the natural and have a advanture, enclosure when it's rainy or you need to read or have a nap. Whereas you may not need that house which seems know to much about you. When you want to face natural, go to the real natural. When you want to read, go to your reading room, which may not even need a window. Our desire is endless. One house can't give you all, architecture can't give you all. However, a building shoud be a environment. When you visit it, you are visiting a part of the natual where it located. When you sitting in it, you feel not only the wall of the house but also wind's sound, light coming in and shadow of a passing by bird. A building should do this, invite you to come to see it but at the same time show you the magnificent of non-human world, he must know that he is part of the site, city, history, and sound, light, smell there.
