Hello, my name’s Frances Campa and I believe that I have the skills to be a nurse. I’m a very caring and supportive person. Whenever people need help with anything I’m always the one to call! I plan on going to college after high school at the University of Houston because I've heard they have an amazing nursing program. At Roosevelt high school, I take anatomy, principles of health and science, and biotech to help with my science field. Being a lifeguard, babysitter, and learning CPR I understand what it’s like to help and care for others. I have 2 little sisters- 9 months and 3 years old. Babies need more care than older kids because they cannot take care of themselves yet. I'd like to be working in the NICU because when my sister was in there, they took very good care of her and now she's healthy and better than ever. My mom has home health because she needs a lung transplant. When there are no nurses at the house, I help her with certain things, for example, changing her oxygen or even cleaning her IV for her. Being a lifeguard at a waterpark, I've had many traumatic experiences, like kids slipping and busting their head open, or even drowning. Working with kids has taught myself how much I love working and taking care of them. Helping my mom at home has taught me that I like doing nurse-like things. I’d like to be able to work with people who are on hospice or working in the NICU with the babies. My goals in life are to be a nurse and to take care of people. I hope you take this into consideration!
