Alison is a media consultant and media literacy instructor. She works with educators, librarians, and youth group leaders to offer media literacy workshops for elementary, middle school, and high school students.

Each workshop is based on core tenants of critical media literacy -- including construction, audience, industry/context, ownership, distribution, and production. Each workshop includes an overview and presentation of the topic, an interactive discussion, and hands-on activity in which students create their own media.

Topics can be tailored to meet student needs and interests. Popular topics include: Fake News, Beyond Fake News, Analyzing Advertising Secrets, and Evaluating Online Sites.
