I am an academic and lecturer. My research interests include looking at what and how people learn in science classrooms. In particular, my research examines the intersections between access to scientific content and discourse practices and access to identities as knowers and doers of science. I study how university students' participation and acts of positioning in everyday interactions shape their access to various opportunities in science classrooms.
