C.L. Acevedo

Hi, I'm C.L. Acevedo.

I am a freelance writer and content producer. I write fiction and non-fiction. My blog, ...Deliberate Ellipsis..., showcases my writings, observations, & assumptions. I touch on a variety of subjects: from what I'm reading, to politics, to writing and the creative process.

I'm a lifelong writer who caught the bug early on. If I am not writing or reading, I am thinking about it.

In 2008, I quit my teaching job in New York City when they offered me tenure, got rid of my rent controlled apartment on the Upper East Side, and moved to Costa Rica.

Since then, I have completed my MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College, became bilingual in a way I never would have in New York, and written my first novel, a contemporary fantasy entitled “The Harbinger.”

I do voice work and have written and recorded courses for the podcast Spanishpod101.com and for companies in Costa Rica.

I am also a fiction editor for Limn Literary & Arts Journal, a non-profit that was created as a way to give assistance and exposure to new and emerging artists. The money raised by donations, submission/reading fees and contests help fund grants for artists with disabilities. We accept submissions in Fiction, Graphic Novel, Poetry, Drama, Photography and Art for our online publication.

Here are my services offered.
