Hello Classmates. I am 5'4 and ethnically African American, Native American and German. I am a 21 year old, third year Biology major. Before I could even remember I have always had a love for animals. I have owned several pets in my lifetime including dogs, cats, birds, and fish. After I graduate from North Carolina Central University, I plan to apply to Veterinarian School to obtain my degree in Veterinarian Medicine. I will use my degree to focus on the care of small animals with a specialization in reproduction/genetics. My passion for animals drives me to want to help them when it comes to their health. I am originally from Bronx, NY. This is where my wanting to become a Veterinarian first began. It all started with a vet office trip with my cat when I was 7 years of age. Ever since then becoming a Veterinarian has been my main mission in life. After obtaining my degree in Veterinarian Medicine I plan to relocate back to New York, or even Toronto, or Massachusetts. I am still in love with the north and will be sure to practice veterinarian medicine there. I also hope to open up my own Animal hospital one day and a chain of no-kill, non-profit animal shelters across the United States.
