Hey all, I’m Isaac, a web developer living in Nairobi, Kenya. I am a fan of technology, football, music, travelling and cycling. I’m also interested in hiking and web development.

I was born and raised in a small village known as Kiriba, in the outskirts of Kilifi town, in Kilifi County. I’m the 6th born in a family of 8 and I literally believe that “Hardship is Strength”. I grew up knowing that fishing would be “my life” since it’s the economic activity of the locals (i.e from my community and neighborhood perspective), but later turned to be false.

I joined the team in 22 March, 2016 having completed my University with a Bsc in Information Technology. I am a quite ambitious and curious person who usually finds excitement in everything in life

Background

Kilifi town, is a region on the northern coast of Kenya. It’s a fascinating place to visit, having a wonderful rich and traditional culture and also endowed with many tourism attraction sites (It’s better when you experience it firsthand.)

The topography of the county is dominated by low-range sand-stone hills, and a terrain that generally slopes towards the sea, making fishing the main economic activities. (Also gives a nice view of the ocean)

Favorite food

I eat almost anything that comes my way but my favorite is Pilau (also known aspilav orpilaf ). This is specialty along the Swahili Coast in which Rice is flavored with spices and cooked in a well-seasoned broth of either Meat, Poultry or Fish.

Funny fact about my middle name (Karisa)

It literally means a boy who is a herder, most probably born when her mother was in the field grazing according to my tribe and culture but can have a different meaning elsewhere; Greek origin, a name for girls which means "beloved” (So you shouldn’t tease me!!!)

One thing that inspires me is: One day I'll be at the place I always wanted to be.
