Johnny Marines a native New Yorker from the Lower East Side, has been a monumental force in the meteoric rise to stardom for the Latin American music artist, Romeo Santos.

From June of 2016 until July of 2017, Johnny was the President of Roc Nation Latin, a newly formed division within the company. In this capacity, Johnny managed the day to day operations of the division and was tasked with scouting and retaining top talent.

In July of 2017, Romeo released his third solo album, “Golden”, which is already multi-platinum and has 2 #1 hits. Romeo Santos launched his solo career in 2011, with "Formula Vol. 1", which is multi-platinum and had five #1 hits - the first artist do to so in nearly 16 years. Romeo leads all Latin artists with the most number one hits this decade. Romeo has amassed multiple awards over his storied career, including an American Grammy for Best Tropical Album and the 2015 and 2016 American Billboard Award for Top Latin Artist. The success of Marines' work ethic can be measured by Romeo Santos' spectacular growth, which continues to extend into new markets today, far from his humble South Bronx roots.

Johnny owns several organic delis that service the people of the LES and is a principal business partner with key investments in several restaurants and nightlife establishments in New Jersey.

Before entering the music business, Johnny was an NYPD sergeant. During his tenure as a police officer, Johnny made and assisted in more than 1,000 arrests, and was awarded 12 Excellent Police Duty medals and 4 Meritorious Police Duty medals for 4 separate bribery arrests.

Philanthropically, Marines has co-funded toy drives and school supply giveaways, and has donated turkeys for hundreds of needy families during the holidays. Johnny established the Johnny Marines Blessings Foundation, which aims to foster, support, and fund educational advancement initiatives within New York City.

Johnny has begun to share his story. Johnny communicates how he came to be the manager of the most influential Latin American music artist of our generation. Johnny speaks of his struggles and mistakes not only growing up in LES, but also of the impediments he has had to overcome once in the music industry. Marines lectures on the importance of diligence, and relays his messages in ways that people from all walks of life can relate. Johnny has spoken on numerous occasions at Harvard, Columbia, Syracuse, Lehman College, and St. John’s University.
