Michael Chang

Michael Chang is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida. His research has been funded by the University of Florida Opportunity Seed Fund and the McJunkin Family Charitable Foundation. Michael's dissertation develops a new type of soft matter 3D printing system using pressure feedback on hydrogel extrusion for neurosurgical training anatomical models fabrication. His other projects help neurosurgeons and orthopaedic surgeons in their clinical researches. He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida under the supervision of Prof. Scott Banks and Frank Bova in 2019. He received his B.S. in Power Mechanical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan and earned his M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida, with a concentration on orthopaedic biomechanics.
