Good Day
My name is Mpho Bongiwe Mabaso, a third year student at the University of Johannesburg. I am in the B.Ed Intermediate Phase program and the journey to completing my studies still continues.
I chose this teaching profession because I believe that teaching means a lot more than entering the classroom and delivering content to the learners and going home in the afternoon with aching feet and headache BUT for me it means that we get a chance to play different roles everyday to our learners while having fun and the reward is greater than earning a salary at the end of the month, we inspire children to become whomever they want to be and the amazing thing about that is when they look at you, they see a hero. And that is what led me to this profession because I too once had a teacher who made this profession look cool and I'd said to myself that I also want to be like her one day and I am happy that I kept my promise and I am halfway through making it a reality.
My interests range from coffee, movies, fitness, reading and education because I believe that as an aspiring teacher, it is my responsibility to be well informed with what is happening in the world, to help me relate more with my learners because they now have access to the internet and times are moving fast.
Thank you for viewing my portfolio. If you’d like to get in touch, feel free to say hello through any of the social links below.
