Our Animalpedia is an encyclopedia of Animal Figurative Language. It is my hope that within the pages of Our Animalpedia, many readers will rediscover familiar sayings and their meanings; the advice and warnings passed down from parents, grandparents and ancestors.

As Animals occupy the entire world, it is also my wish that readers will appreciate the universality of Animal Figurative Language by embracing their timeless global influence on Humankind everywhere.

With inspiration from Andrew Amy--my first dream come true--with the faith of friends, Faith Stephens, Tamara Stoops and Kim Williams, Animalogic became my new way of thinking. Assisting me through every phase of this 2,000-hour adventure was the County of Los Angeles A.C. Bilbrew Library which became my research home away from home.

Today, when people ask me what inspired me to compile Our Animalpedia of Figurative Language, rather than explain this incredible journey, I simply wink and say, “A little bird told me.”
