D-TAC

D-TAC (Ductless Task Air Conditioning) is the technology behind Zephyr™, a personal air-conditioner that does not need installation. Instead of moving heat from indoors to outdoors, it stores the heat in a Phase Change Material until the occupant has left, before it is released.

Research was funded by commercialisation seed funding at the University of Tasmania, prize money from business competitions and the Commercialisation Australia grant. Technology transfer and commercilisation services were and are provided by Uniquest.

Proof of concept has been successfully completed. Detailed specifications are available on request. Investor relations and manufacturing partners are welcome.
