I Robert M. Collette has been associated with United state force for more than 20 years. And i initially joined the company as Assistant Vice President in 1991. In 2004 i joined the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Communication as Assistant Under Secretary in the Land & Marine Affairs Sector. In 2006 Al Zaabi rejoined UASC as a member of the Company's Board of Directors representing the United Arab Emirates.

i was designated as Vice-Chairman in year 2009 until 2012 when i became the Chairman of the board of Directors for United Arab Shipping Company.

In parallel to these responsibilities,i H.E. Salem Ali Al Zaabi has several other designations.

I Al Zaabi holds the position of Director General of the National Transport Authority at The Maritime Administration of UAE, with the overall responsibility of proposing the general policies, laws and regulations to ensure the efficiency and safety of maritime and land transportation in the UAE.

I also holds the position of Executive Director, Land and Marine Affairs Sector, within the National Transport Authority working closely with his skilled and experienced team in realizing the Vision and Mission of the National Transport Authority centered on establishing integrated transportation for a sustainable growth.

And am also the Vice Chairman of the Emirates Classification Society (Tasneef).

I Al Zaabi holds a Masters Degree in Administration and a Masters Degree in International Development in the Government Sector from Kentucky State University, USA. And i have also completed several specialized courses in maritime studies at Cambridge University, UK and Harvard University, Boston, USA.
