Steven was born and raised in a small rural town in America’s heartland, where he learned the value of family, faith and community. After traveling to Tennessee for business for several years, Steven fell in love with Knoxville and made it his home. Steven grew up working is his 100-year-old family business Pedian Rug Company, diligently managing the business through multiple market cycles. At a very early age, Steven learned the meaning of customer service and embraced his company’s motto “Once a Customer – Always a Customer.”

After successfully negotiated the sale of the business in 2002, Steven embarked on a successful career working for the multinational investment bank Salomon Smith Barney, one of the three largest investment banking enterprises in the world. Steven continued his career in finance working with a number of prominent investment firms and he is responsible for founding and funding a number of successful private equity enterprises. Most recently, Steven helped start a successful venture capital firm that invested in several early-stage technology companies, one of which was acquired in 2015 by a Fortune 500 company for $1.3 billion.

Never one to rest, Steven has taken his years of experience and success and applied them to building a successful real estate career in Knoxville. Steven understands business is not just about transactions, it’s about building life-long relationships and friendships. A firm believer in the philosophy that the meaning of luxury is found in the experience of the process in any price range, Steven represents clients in all segments of the residential market. Steven lives in downtown Knoxville and is active in the business community. Steven also serves as a business advisor to: Phunware/PhunToken, Paro.io and SOBRsafe.

When Steven is not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and playing golf.
