Tom Okundi

Tom Ayieko Okundi is the Principal Partner of kundi and Company Advcates. Tom was admitted to the Roll of Advocates in 1996. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi. He was previously an Associate with the Firm of Oraro & Rachier Advocates for Two Years and previously a partner with Cecil Guyana Miller in the firm of Miller & Okundi Company Advocates for Five (5) Years

His duties entail:

Having direct contact with clients, which included Insurance Companies, Banks, Embassies, High Commissions, Non-Governmental Organizations, Individuals, various companies and Business ventures and Co-operative Societies.

Giving legal advice to clients on various commercial law matters.

Advising on contracts of a diverse nature inter alia drawing contracts and approving contracts drawn by other parties.

Advising on Insurance Law, negotiating settlement on behalf of the insurance companies. Defending and suing on behalf of the said insures companies

•Industrial Property Law (in particular the law relating to Trademarks, copyrights and Patents.)

•Preparation of Employment Contracts and advising generally on employment contract and the relevant laws and regulations governing the same.

•Preparation of Consultancy Contracts and advising generally thereon.

•Incorporation of Companies and Registration of Business names and Societies.

•Preparation of Bank Security Documents (Debentures)

•Drafting of pleadings and making court representation on behalf of the concerned parties.

•Advising on Banking Law and Defending and suing on behalf of Banks with a view to realizing securities.

•Preparing Wills, Deeds, Letters of Administration and generally dealing with probate and Administration matters.
