My life is like a book; one where the outside doesn’t match the inside. Born and raised in Germany, I spent my childhood exploring Europe with my family. My father was an American soldier of Puerto Rican descent. My mother a housewife born of Romani, Spaniard, and Indigenous descent. At age ten, we moved stateside after my father retired from the Army. We settled in Florida and after graduating high school, I enlisted in the Air Force. Having completed a four year enlistment, I returned home taking a job as a bartender. This would lead me to getting a three year contract as a hair model. Being immersed in that environment inspired me to delve deeper into the realm of cosmetology. During this time, I fell victim to my gypsy heritage. Overcome by wanderlust, I traveled extensively across the country. I have been from coast to coast on four separate occasions. I have lived everywhere from New York City to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, to Los Angeles. In 2011 I found my way to Arizona, where I settled down and focused my efforts to make my dreams of becoming a professional writer a reality.
