William Long

Hello, my name is William Long. Currently I am a Senior at the University of Mary Hardin - Baylor seeking to get my degree in Business Administration.

My back ground of work experience consists of years of volunteer work in many places such as Lemonade Day which was held in Killeen, Texas. In the spring of 2017 and 2018 I had the privilege with a small group from my classmates to teach kids ranging from 2nd grade to juniors in high school the basics of entrepreneurship. When it comes to teaching the youth I take it very seriously and I do my best to always make my information fun and very easy to understand. Another place I had really enjoyed volunteering at was at my dad's office in Waco, Texas. I've always had a big heart from when it came to helping those who has less than me, and my dad gave me a opportunity to help those people out during the most wonderful time of the year. Toy for Toys was an event my dad was in charge of running with his Marines during the holiday season. My job was to help out and assist in counting inventory, organizing toys and gifts with each other, and making sure each order was right when it got to the final stage to delivery.

What is next for me is graduation and hopefully graduate school. I hope to get into grad school to further my studies in entrepreneurship. There is so much that I want to do for myself after working a company for numerous years. over these past few years I have grown up allot, and going for masters to separate myself from others is a great way to start off my career in the field of my choosing.

Over these past couple years I realized that I have interest in sales. I love meeting goals and even more so, I love going over and beyond meetings goals. It's a great feeling and also a challenge that will keep you working throughout time, and for me that is huge because I'm not a fan of sitting around not doing anything. Getting more experience in sales is something that I am seeking right now. I know experience is the best teacher and at least for me it is. Getting that kind of experience while in graduate school and before taking any full time positions in that career field, will help out allot for me down the road.
